The brief was interesting. "FRED, in developing our brand and marketing message, you cannot refer to us as a restaurant and bar, we're not a club, we're not a café, but we can be all of that. If Scotty and Dave want to come here for a beer after work and we become their local watering hole, then that's what we are. If Betty and Margo want to call in for a tea and scones after bowls on a Tuesday afternoon, then we're the right place for them. If Mum and Dad want to bring the kids for dinner, we can look after them too. Oh, and it must have a connection to the good old Kiwi way.

FRED developed;

- The Name and Logo concept
- All the visual material including menus, print advertising and signage
- The advertising message and in-house table talkers
- Their online presence, initially their Facebook and we're in the process of extending that to a simple but effective website.
